Punto Banco Regulations and Method

Baccarat Codes

Baccarat chemin de fer is enjoyed with eight decks of cards in a dealer’s shoe. Cards valued less than ten are valued at face value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is 1. Wagers are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the two hands that are dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The value for each hand is the sum of the cards, but the first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 5 and six has a total of 1 (5 plus 6 = 11; dump the 1st ‘one’).

A 3rd card can be dealt based on the rules below:

- If the player or house has a value of 8 or nine, the two players stay.

- If the player has less than five, he takes a card. Players otherwise stay.

- If the gambler stays, the bank takes a card on five or lower. If the gambler hits, a table is employed to determine if the house holds or takes a card.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two hands wins. Winning bets on the bank payout 19:20 (equal cash minus a 5 percent rake. Commission are tracked and cleared out when you leave the game so make sure you have money remaining before you depart). Winning wagers on the gambler pays 1 to 1. Winning wagers for tie normally pays out at eight to one but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is a poor wager as ties occur lower than one in every ten hands. Be cautious of gambling on a tie. However odds are astonishingly better for 9 to 1 versus eight to one)

Bet on correctly baccarat offers generally decent odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games baccarat banque has a handful of accepted myths. One of which is close to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past isn’t a fore-teller of events yet to happen. Tracking previous results at a table is a bad use of paper and an affront to the tree that surrendered its life for our paper needs.

The most common and likely the most favorable method is the 1-3-2-6 plan. This method is used to maximize profits and limit risk.

Begin by betting 1 chip. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the game table for a total of 3 units on the second bet. If you win you will retain 6 on the game table, subtract four so you keep 2 on the 3rd round. If you succeed on the third round, put down two on the 4 on the table for a total of six on the fourth bet.

Should you don’t win on the initial wager, you take a loss of 1. A profit on the 1st bet followed by a loss on the second creates a hit of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd provides you with a take of two. And wins on the initial three with a loss on the fourth means you break even. Winning all four bets leaves you with 12, a take of ten. This means you can give up the second round five times for each successful run of 4 wagers and still are even.
