Baccarat Rules
Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards under 10 are valued at their printed value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they purely appear as the two hands to be given out).
Two hands of 2 cards shall then be given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for each hand is the sum total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dumped. For eg, a hand of 7 … 5 will have a total score of two (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).
A 3rd card may be dealt depending on the foll. protocols:
- If the bettor or banker has a total score of 8 or nine, each bettors stand.
- If the player has five or less, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the two scores wins. Successful bets on the banker pay at nineteen to 20 (even money minus a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so make sure to have dollars left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie generally pay 8 to one and on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a crazy wager as ties will happen less than one every 10 hands. Avoid betting on a tie. Still, odds are greatly better – 9 to 1 vs. eight to 1)
When played properly, baccarat presents fairly good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Tactics
As with just about every games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. 1 of which is close to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future events. Keeping track of last results on a chart is for sure a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.
The most commonly used and probably most successful method is the 1-three-2-six method. This technique is used to pump up winnings and cutting back risk.
Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away four so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd bet, add two to the four on the table for a sum total of 6 on the 4th wager.
If you lose on the initial wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Winning all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Therefore you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
