Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards with less than a value of ten are worth their printed value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they simply portray the two hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards are then played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for each hand will be the total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is removed. For eg, a hand of seven and 5 has a total score of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card can be given depending on the following guidelines:

- If the bettor or banker has a tally of eight or 9, then both players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart is used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Winning wagers on the banker pay at nineteen to twenty (even money less a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have cash remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winning bets for tie generally pay out 8 to 1 but on occasion nine to one. (This is a crazy wager as ties occur less than 1 every ten hands. Stay away from putting money on a tie. Regardless odds are especially better – nine to one versus 8 to 1)

Played correctly, baccarat provides relatively good odds, away from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with every games, Baccarat has some common misconceptions. 1 of which is close to a roulette misconception. The past is not an indicator of future actions. Staying abreast of old outcomes on a chart is a total waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most established and probably most successful technique is the one-3-2-six technique. This schema is employed to boost winnings and minimizing risk.

Begin by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Winning all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. Therefore you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
