Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards under ten are said to be at their printed value whereas ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they merely symbolize the two hands to be given out).

2 hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand will be the sum of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of 7 … 5 produces a total of 2 (7plus5=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card could be played depending on the following protocols:

- If the player or banker has a total of eight or nine, then both players stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used in order to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two scores is the winner. Victorious bets on the banker pay out 19 to twenty (even odds minus a 5% commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so ensure you have cash left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie as a rule pays out at eight to 1 but sometimes nine to one. (This is a bad gamble as ties will happen lower than one every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try wagering on a tie. Nevertheless odds are greatly better – 9 to 1 versus eight to one)

When played accurately, baccarat offers generally good odds, away from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with every games, Baccarat has some well-known false impressions. One of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is never actually an actual indicator of future happenings. Tracking of prior results on a chart is definitely a waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and probably most successful method is the 1-three-2-6 technique. This method is deployed to pump up successes and lowering risk.

Begin by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away four so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the third wager, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a total of six on the 4th wager.

If you lose on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. In other words that you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
